Confused....oh...confused !
Hey guys ! been a real big fan of GWG ! Started Plating GW when it first game out but due to college wrk i quit. Now im gonna start playin again ! I was gonna order it off Play.com, since i live in england, but realised Factions is coming out !
Would you wait and get Factions or do i need Guild Wars (the orginal), to understand whats going on ??

If you started playing GW When it first came out then you will still have it, you dont need to buy it again.
If you've lost the discs you can download it, if you've lost your account details then think REALLY hard
Failing that, no, you dont need to have original Guildwars (also known as Prophecies) to play Factions or understand whats going on, its a different story and a different map
Hope this helps.

LOL!
As long as you remember the email you registered your account with, you will be able to reset your password and access it again.

Both are original stories and does not need the other to play or enjoy it. Having both though will allow you to have skills from both games and allow your character to travel to both lands. It is up to you if you want both. Buy one and play it, if you like it then buy the other.

ahh.. well, it's up to you then. You don't have to buy the original to play Factions. You can just buy Factions. It will give you access to a new place called Cantha. You won't have access to the old place called Tyria, though. Seeing as how most people will be migrating to Cantha with Factions, you may have a better experience just getting Factions for now as there will probably be more people there with the actual intention to play. However, you could get both if you don't mind spending the money and flip back and forth. You can always go back and get the original later I imagine. If you plan on playing in the new areas (or don't have a preference), then there's not much incentive to buy both right away.

By the way, if you only played in BWEs, you'll find you'll be playing a VERY different game. I'm sure you'll like it (whichever one you choose).
